Aston Villa are preparing to increase their €18 million bid which they reportedly had rejected for a teenage Turkish talent last summer, according to Star.

19-year-old Semih Kılıçsoy has apparently been on Villa's radar for some time with the West Midlands club previously making 'persistent attempts' to bring the forward in from Turkish side Beşiktaş.

The wonderkid scored 12 times last season and provided three assists in his breakout campaign for the Black Eagles and has been described by former Turkish player and manager Mehmet Ekşi as a "dynamic and talented" striker.

It is reported that the Villans are planning to up their previous bid as they prepare to sit back down at the table with the Turkish team after previously being unable to reach an agreement.

If Villa are to secure the Turkish international's signature, they will have to do it quickly with the teenager's stock continuing to rise, drawing in other suitors from across the continent.

French giants Paris Saint-Germain are said to be putting together a bid of around €30 million for Kılıçsoy who is contracted to Beşiktaş until 2028, so it is likely that Villa will have to propose an equally as attractive offer.

It is said that the versatile forward, who has been likened to his idol Sergio Agüero, is preparing to bid farewell to his team as bigger European clubs continue to circle.

The young Turk has two goals and four assists in all competitions so far this season in 17 games played.
