Manchester City travel to Milan to take on Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday ahead of a potentially season-defining Premier League clash with Liverpool this weekend.

Pep Guardiola’s side are top of Group C with three wins from three, including a 5-1 thrashing of Atalanta at the Etihad in their last European outing, but the Spanish manager said this week he would not prioritise the Liverpool match when picking his team for Wednesday’s fixture.

That remains to be seen, but what is certain is that City will be buoyed by their ability to find two late goals on Saturday in coming from behind to beat Southampton.

Meanwhile, Atalanta – who are bottom of the group with zero points – rebounded from their loss to City in October with a 7-1 Serie A win against 10-man Udinese and a 2-2 draw with Napoli, but suffered a 2-0 defeat to Cagliari last time out after having a player sent off.

Here is everything you need to know as the Italian side host Manchester City in the Champions League.

Odds

Atalanta 17/4

Draw 4/1

Man City 1/2

Prediction

Whether Guardiola rests players ahead of the Liverpool game or not, City should be able to handle Atalanta easily. Perhaps not as easily as in their 5-1 win in the reverse fixture, but with little trouble nonetheless.

3-0 to City is our prediction.

When is it?

Kick-off at the San Siro is at 8pm GMT on November 6.

How can I watch it?

The match will be shown live on BT Sport 3.

Subscribers can also watch the match via the BT Sport app or online via the BT Sport player.

Team News

David Silva is a doubt for the visitors, having sustained a muscle problem against Southampton, while Phil Foden is suspended after his red card in the reverse fixture. Aymeric Laporte, Leroy Sane, Rodri and Oleksandr Zinchenko will all miss out through injury.

Meanwhile, Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata will be absent with a muscle injury.

Predicted line-ups

Man City: Emerson; Cancelo, Otamendi, Stones, Mendy; Gundogan, Fernandinho, B. Silva; Jesus, Mahrez, Sterling.

Atalanta: Gollini; Toloi, Palomino, Djimsiti; Castagne, Freuler, Pasalic, Gosens, Gomez; Ilicic, Muriel.
