The Jamaican world record holder has already announced appearances at the Rome Golden gala on June 6, in the 200m at Oslo's Bislett Games on June 13 and the Paris Golden League meeting on July 6 ahead of the world championships in Moscow in August.

Bolt, who became the only man to win the 100-200m double at successive Olympics during last year's London Games, is also due to compete in a 150m race on Brazil's Copacabana beach on March 31.

The race in Brussels will come three weeks after the world championships and he has not yet said whether he will run in the 100m or 200m.

Bolt has made five previous appearances in the Belgian capital.

He clocked 9.77 seconds in the 100m into a stiff headwind in 2008 and broke the meeting 200m record in 2009 with a 19.57s run.
