The Atlanta Open could see a battle between the Australian Open men’s doubles champions in the second round as Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis find themselves in the same section.
Playing in his first tournament since finishing runner-up to Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon a fortnight ago, seventh seed Kyrgios will take on a qualifier in the opening round
Kokkinakis, meanwhile, faces American qualifier Andres Martin first up and if both Australians come through their encounters then they will square off in the second round.
It is an Australian-heavy section as third seed Alex de Minaur, who has a bye in the first round, is the projected quarter-final opponent.
The top half is led by top seed Reilly Opelka and the American will take on either Ilya Ivashka or Quentin Halys in the second round with fifth seed Tommy Paul and wildcard Jack Sock also in his section.
Defending champion John Isner is seeded second and he faces either Ben Shelton or a qualifier in his opener with fellow Americans Frances Tiafoe (4), Jenson Brooksby (6) and Brendon Nakashima (8) also in the half.
British duo Cameron Norrie and Andy Murray were initially set to take part in the ATP 250 at Atlantic Station, but withdrew.
