According to reports, Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho is ‘expected to be sold’ in the coming months after holding ‘showdown talks’ with Erik ten Hag.
Sancho has endured a disastrous spell at Man Utd following his £73m move from Borussia Dortmund in 2021.
The England international was on the sidelines for a couple of months last season after Ten Hag revealed that he had suffered a drop off in “fitness and mood”.
The winger has impressed in fits and starts for Man Utd but he has lacked consistency and he now finds himself down the pecking order under Ten Hag.
The Dutch head coach left Sancho out of his squad for Man Utd’s game against Arsenal during the international break.
He claimed that Sancho was underperforming in training, but this claim was rubbished by the Man Utd player, who suggested that he has been a “scapegoat” for a long time.
Last week it was claimed that Man Utd are ‘fed up’ with Sancho and it now feels like only a matter of time before he leaves the Premier League giants.
The Daily Star are reporting that Sancho is ‘facing a losing battle’ at Man Utd as his relationship with Ten Hag has ‘broken down completely’ after they ‘failed to settle their differences’. They explain.
‘Sancho has held showdown talks with Ten Hag about his United future following a bust up between the pair.
‘Ten Hag axed the England winger from his squad for the recent defeat at Arsenal and blamed Sancho’s poor attitude and training on the decision. Sancho hit back on social media, denying the claims and accusing Ten Hag of lying.
‘It’s understood the duo are struggling to settle their differences – due to the lack of trust in the fractured relationship.
‘And even the current absence of fellow winger Antony, due to allegations of domestic abuse which he denies, is not expected to boost Sancho’s chances of returning to the starting line up. Ten Hag is ruthless when it comes to dealing with players he thinks will not succeed, or have become a bad influence around the squad.
‘Sancho will look to leave the club in the January transfer window. He is expected to secure a loan deal elsewhere, with a view to making a permanent exit from Old Trafford next summer.’

“I just don’t see how he could ever come back from it,” Collymore told CaughtOffside.
“I actually believe the Red Devils will look to offload him, either on loan or permanently, at the next opportunity. The whole situation is very reminiscent of Romelu Lukaku’s second spell at Chelsea.
“I know there are reports that he’s set for crunch talks with his manager and the coaching staff but I don’t think we’ll ever see Sancho play for United again.”
