Bake Off: The Professionals, the Great British Bake Off spin-off, has crowned its 2022 winners.

The Channel 4 series puts baking pros to the test as they try to impress judges Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden, while hosts Liam Charles and newcomer Stacey Solomon help keep things calm.

The final saw the three teams, Nathan and Kevin, Jemima and Zack, and I Shan and Jojo, battle it out.

In the end, after a hard-fought race, it was Nathan and Kevin who were victorious with their incredible Day at the Races Showstopper.

For the Showstopper, the teams were tasked with creating a stunning banquet to serve 80 that was fit for a Day at the Races.

Chocolate and sugar work had to be included, while a showstopping, edible, center piece was needed.

Cherish said she was looking for something "opulent and lavish," and wanted to feel like a VIP.

Nathan and Kevin, and I Shan and Jojo both opted for horses as their Showstopper centre piece while Jemima and Zack went with the left-field choice of sheep.

However, there was no horsing around for Jemima and Zack, as they ended up having a big falling-out during their preparation.

When one of Zack's sponges went a bit dodgy, Jemima told him to make it again but Zack didn't want to as they each take 30 minutes to make.

When Jemima then said to Zack: "You're not talking to me?" he replied: "As much as I like you, not now."

Host Liam then tried to keep the peace by saying: "You guys love each other really," but there was more drama to come for the team.

With minutes left, Jemima suffered a cut and had to take time out for medical attention, but that didn't stop her shouting instructions to Zack, who was frantically trying to finish their Showstopper.

And when the clock finally ran out, Zack removed his apron and said: "I need to get out of here," before Liam took him outside to cool off.

But it wasn't just Jemima and Zack who were feeling the pressure as, when asked by Liam if she could get everything done, I Shan uncharacteristically replied: "If this conversation can be shortened."

At the judging, Cherish loved Nathan and Kevin's racetrack design and found their chocolate mousse was 'to die for'.

I Shan and Jojo earned high praise from Benoit for their design but he criticised their use of dark chocolate.

While Jemima and Zack tried something different with their theme, Benoit likened their sheep to clouds and said it more resembled a garden party for kids. And unfortunately their bakes were similarly disappointing for the judges.

In the end, Nathan and Kevin were announced as the winners, with Nathan's "sensitive eyes" getting the better of him as they scooped the prize.

And as for Jemima and Zack, in the end the pair made up with Zack saying: "It's just cake and it's been a pleasure to work alongside you."

The Great British Bake Off airs on Channel 4 in the UK. In the US, it's known as The Great British Baking Show, and streams on Netflix.
