Bala Nikyu's Wikki Tourists move delayed

The Flamingoes boss is looking set for Saturday's showdown as he assured Nigerians that they will work hard to see off the east Africans

While Bala Nikyu reaffirms that he is certain to be the next coach of Wikki Tourists, there has been a delay in formalising the deal.

Wikki parted ways with Mohammed Babaganaru after an unimpressive showing in the first half of the season which saw the Bauchi Elephants drop into the relegation zone and they were also ousted from the Caf Confederation Cup.

Nikyu left Katsina United early in the campaign and is likely to take charge at the Bauchi Elephants in a deal that was expected to be sealed at the beginning of the week.

"There has been some delay but I think it should be sorted out in no time. I am in Bauchi and I was with the entire management team of Wikki Tourists," Nikyu told Goal.

"There are some final details that need to be sorted out and I believe that once that's done the contract signing will take place.

"It's important to sort out the paper works so to focus when works start. I am on my way to see their training this morning (Thursday). I believe it's almost done and as soon as it's sorted out I will keep you in the know," he concluded.
