Trabzonspor, managed by former Turkey coach Senol Gunes, have confirmed they have paid the Foxes £750,000 for the 27-year-old Ivory Coast international.
A brief statement on Leicester's official website read: "Leicester City can confirm that an agreement has been reached for the transfer of Sol Bamba to Trabzonspor for an undisclosed fee.
"The 27-year-old defender has agreed personal terms with the Turkish club, bringing to an end his 17-month spell at King Power Stadium."
A Trabzonspor statement added: "Trabzonspor have agreed terms with Souleymane Bamba and Leicester City FC. Leicester City FC will receive a transfer fee of £750,000 for the move."
Bamba, signed from Hibernian in January 2011 by former Leicester manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, made 33 starts for Nigel Pearson's side last season.
