Bangladesh vs New Zealand Live Streaming, Prediction- 3rd T20I
Prior to the start of the 5-match T20 series, Bangladesh hadn’t won a single game against New Zealand in T20 cricket. Now, they have won 2. Bangladesh are currently leading the five-match T20 series by a 2-0 margin. They have won both games played in this series thus far. New Zealand batted first in the first ODI and were bundled out for just 60 runs. Bangladesh chased it down in 15 overs.
In the second T20 international, Bangladesh batted first and put on a competitive 141-run total on the board. New Zealand applied spin right from the first ball of the innings.
However, the Bangladeshi openers played it with extreme caution and took the chances when required. They were a bit lucky on a few occasions but managed to put on a 59-run partnership for the opening wicket. Liton Das was the first one to get out. Ravindra cleaned up his timbers in the 10th over of the innings.
On the very next ball, he sent Mushfiqur Rahim back to the pavilion to bring New Zealand back into the contest. Shakib Al Hasan too got out in the next over. Mahmudullah and Naim tried to lead the recovery but Ravindra came but into the attack in the 16th over to send Naim back into the hut for 39. Bangladesh were 109 for 5 after 16 overs.
New Zealand aimed to restrict Bangladesh under 130. However, Mahmudullah made good use of the pace offered by the seamers and scored some vital boundaries in the death overs. He scored a crucial 37-run knock of 32 deliveries to guide Bangladesh to 141 in the first innings.
New Zealand, once again, didn’t have an ideal start with the bat. having lost two early wickets inside the first four overs. However, skipper Tom Latham promoted himself and played a gem of a knock.
He came into the crease in the third over and batted right till the last ball of the innings. He didn’t take any risk in the initial half of his innings and built the innings slowly and steadily. However, wickets kept falling at the other end at regular intervals. He added vital 43 runs with Will Young (22 off 28) for the third wicket, however, there was little support after that.
Colin de Grandhomme, once again, got out on early after making 8 runs, while Henry Nicholls scored 6 off 5 balls. Despite that, Latham took the game till the very last offer. 20 runs were needed in the last six deliveries and later it came down to 8 off 2 balls. However, the southpaw could only manage to score 3 runs off them, thereby falling 4 runs short of the target.
