Barcelona Team News: Injuries, suspensions and line-up vs Osasuna

Barcelona will seek to follow their last-gap win at Real Madrid on Sunday with another victory against Osasuna on Wednesday to put pressure on Los Blancos in the title race.

Lionel Messi's strike deep into added time saw Luis Enrique's side claim a dramatic win at Santiago Bernabeu and the Catalans moved above their fierce rivals at the top of the table thanks to their superior head-to-head record in the two Clasico clashes this season.

Both teams now have 75 points, although Madrid have played one fixture fewer after the match away to Celta Vigo was postponed in February. Barca host Osasuna at 19:30 CEST, with Real in action straight afterwards away to Deportivo La Coruna.

BARCELONA INJURIES

Aleix Vidal is sidelined for the remainder of the season after suffering a horrific ankle injury at Alaves in February, while Rafinha is also out after limping off in the game at Granada earlier this month.

BARCELONA SUSPENSIONS

Neymar is suspended after being hit with a three-match ban for his red card and subsequent protests in Malaga earlier in April. The game against Osasuna will be the last of those three, meaning the Brazilian can return to action for Barca in the Catalan derby at Espanyol on Saturday.

Sergi Roberto, Samuel Umtiti and Jordi Alba are all just one booking away from a ban.

BARCELONA POTENTIAL STARTING LINE-UP

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique is set to rotate for the game against Osasuna, with the Blaugrana also in action in a tough derby at Espanyol this weekend.

Late Messi strike wins Clasico in Madrid

With Neymar out for the final match of his ban, Paco Alcacer should keep his place in attack, but Andres Iniesta will be rested and Luis Enrique could opt for a three-man back line with Umtiti, Alba and Sergi Roberto all just one yellow card away from a booking.

That would see Javier Mascherano play alongside Gerard Pique and Jeremy Mathieu, while Andre Gomes is set to feature in midfield and there could be a possible start for Arda Turan further forward as well.

OSASUNA TEAM NEWS

Osasuna are bottom of La Liga with just 18 points and are nine adrift of 17th-placed Leganes with just five fixtures remaining.

The Pamplona-based side were 2-0 up at home against Sporting Gijon in their last match at the weekend, but were pegged by back by two late goals and had to settle for a 2-2 draw which means it will be almost impossible for them to avoid relegation now.
