Ramirez was injured attempting to go from first base to third base on A.J. Ellis' single in the sixth inning of Friday's 2-1 loss to the San Francisco Giants.
He grabbed the back of his left leg in pain after sliding into third and had to be helped off the field. He was out on the play.
It was just Ramirez's fourth game back since starting the season on the disabled list with a thumb injury.
Also, second baseman Mark Ellis could go on the DL with a quad injury. He has not played in a week.
First baseman Adrian Gonzalez was held out of Friday's game with a neck injury.

With the St. Louis Cardinals' rotation rolling and the relief corps struggling, general manager John Mozeliak told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that injured starter Chris Carpenter could join the bullpen when he returns.
Cardinals starters have a combined 2.07 earned run average while the bullpen is at 5.67.
Closer Jason Motte is out for the season after having Tommy John surgery and Mitchell Boggs struggled in that role, prompting his being sent to AAA Memphis with a 12.66 ERA in 10 2/3 innings.
Middle reliever Marc Rzepczynski was also demoted with a 7.88 ERA.
Carpenter is on the 60-day disabled list recovering from shoulder surgery. Mozeliak is hopeful that he will return in late June or early July.
