Baseball: Palestine comes from behind late to edge Rusk, 4-3

Mar. 23—RUSK — The Wildcats of Palestine saved their best for last by plating three runs in the final-two innings to defeat Rusk, 4-3, Friday night at Eagle Park.

Ethan Foster held the Wildcats (9-7, 1-0) hit less over 6.2 frames. He allowed four runs, but only a lone earned run. Foster struck out seven and walked four.

The Eagles, who outhit the Wildcats, 4-1, committed six errors in the game compared to Palestine's one.

Tilton Beard clubbed a pair of hits for the Eagles and drove in a run.

Alex Patterson and Noah Acker accounted for Rusk's remaining hits.

Rusk will look to rebound at 7 p.m. Monday when the Eagles host Hudson.
