March 21 (The Sports Xchange) - The Cleveland Cavaliers signed guard Seth Curry to a 10-day contract and released forward Shane Edwards from his 10-day contract on Friday.


Curry averaged 19.4 points, 5.9 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 35.2 minutes in 36 games (35 starts) for the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League this season.

Curry was originally signed by the Golden State Warriors in August 2013 as an undrafted free agent out of Duke. After the Warriors waived him Oct. 25, he was signed by the Memphis Grizzlies in December and waived in January. He played one game for Memphis.

The Charlotte Bobcats signed forward D.J. White to a 10-day contract on Friday.

White, who is in his sixth NBA season, has career averages of 6.0 points and 3.2 rebounds in 132 games played with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Bobcats and Boston Celtics.

White spent 1 1/2 seasons with the Bobcats after joining the team via trade from the Thunder on Feb. 24, 2011. He played 82 games, averaging 7.3 points on 50.4 percent shooting and 3.8 rebounds in 19.1 minutes. He spent part of 2013 with the Celtics.
