The 25-year-old center will host in-person workouts for the Miami Heat, New Orleans Pelicans and Sacramento Kings.
Despite that, the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs remain the favourites to land Oden.
The Cleveland Cavaliers were also contenders last week before signing Andrew Bynum to a two-year deal.
Oden, the No. 1 pick in the 2007 draft, has not played in a game since December 5, 2009 because of various knee surgeries. In 82 games, he has averaged 9.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocks.
Guard Nate Robinson has agreed to terms with the Denver Nuggets.
The Nuggets are using their bi-annual exception to sign Robinson. The deal is reportedly for two years and $4.03 million. The second year is a player option.
Robinson, 29, averaged 13.1 points and 4.4 assists in 82 games for the Chicago Bulls last season.
The Toronto Raptors announced they signed free-agent point guard D.J. Augustin.
The team did not disclose terms of the deal.
Augustin averaged 4.7 points, 2.2 assists and 16.1 minutes over 76 regular-season games with the Indiana Pacers last season.
The Dallas Mavericks have traded the draft rights to guard Nick Calathes to the Memphis Grizzlies for a 2016 second round draft pick.
Calathes was the 45th pick in the 2009 draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. His draft rights were then traded to the Mavericks for a 2010 second round draft pick.
The 24-year-old has spent the past four seasons playing professionally in Europe.
