Tranmere manager Les Parry has confirmed he is likely to extend Jose Baxter's loan deal at the club.

The 19-year-old has featured six times for Rovers since joining on loan from Everton and Parry is hoping to prolong the striker's stay by another month.

"I've spoken to David Moyes and he's okayed it for another month," Parry told Tranmere's official website.

"I've spoken to Jose and he's dying to stay here for another month so we just need to finalise it for Wednesday."

"I'm delighted he's adapted to League One. He's got that gift of knowing what's around him, knowing when he's got time and when he hasn't got time and he's using it well."
