Congratulations are in order as Below Deck Mediterranean star Captain Sandy Yawn is engaged to her long-term girlfriend Leah Shafer.
Sharing several pictures of the magical proposal, which fittingly took place on a beach, the superyacht aficionado wrote on Instagram yesterday (September 19): "[It's] official! I asked Leah to marry me, and she said YESSSSS. We are engaged! stay tuned for wedding [ring emoji]."
The pair have been together since 2018, according to US Magazine.
Yawn's comment section was filled with congratulatory messages for the couple, as another sea captain named Kate McCue replied: "CONGRATULATIONS!!! Thrilled for you!!!! Btw, I would love to marry you both on [celebrity cruise ship] Beyond! #justsaying."
Her Below Deck Med co-star Aesha Scott added: "Sooooooooo exciting gaaahh!! Couldn't be happier for you two!!!!! best couple!"
This comes after it was revealed that Courtney Veale and Mzi 'Zee' Dempers engaged in a fake romance for the reality show.
"With me and Zee, it was just a tequila romance and I knew that, just one night," Veale told Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng on FUBAR Radio's Access All Areas programme.
"The next day I actually spoke to him and said 'I think we're just friends', but obviously they didn't use that bit, they used the bits where we are dancing and flirting whilst we're working. And by the end of the season, we were in this whole romance!
"They had asked Zee when he was drunk, 'I don't suppose you want to buy Courtney flowers?', and he had drunkenly said, 'Oh yeah, maybe,'" she continued.
"Then next minute, two days later, they say, 'When you sit down for your meal tonight, there's going to be flowers delivered to the table. 12 red roses for Courtney', and he was like 'What?!'"
Below Deck is available to watch on Hayu.
