Ben Doak to get Middlesbrough patience as Michael Carrick talks plans for Liverpool kid
Middlesbrough are prepared to show patience with Ben Doak after signing the teen sensation on loan from Liverpool.
The winger, 18, got his Scotland debut last week when he climbed off the bench against Poland and he excited the Tartan Army despite being unbale to help the team come from behind. Doak will get more chances to get games under his belt this season after heading out on loan to the English Championship.
The Celtic academy product has had chances in the Reds first team but was hampered by injury last season and that meant those opportunities were far reduced. It was decided that a loan would therefore be the best next stop and despite having plenty of options he chose Boro.

Manager Michael Carrick was keen to get Doak in the door but that doesn't mean he will rush him as he vowed to be patient.
He explained: "We have to be a little bit patient with him and bed him in at the right time. We were keen to get him on board, we know the type of player he is and potential he's got and the strength he's got, and we feel he'll fit in with us really well. He's trained really well and is chomping at the bit to get going."
