Brooklyn Nets guard Ben Simmons enjoyed watching his former team's demise Thursday. Following the Philadelphia 76ers' loss to the Miami Heat, Simmons liked a Skip Bayless tweet calling out James Harden for his poor performance.
On the off chance Simmons removes the like, here's a screenshot for posterity.
That image features Simmons' verified account liking a tweet from Skip Bayless' verified Twitter account. In the tweet, Bayless calls out Harden, who "no-showed in the second half" of Thursday's game. Bayless goes on to say Simmons will "make this trade look so phoolish [sic] for Philly."
Harden scored 11 points in Thursday's game. He took only nine shots in the contest, and did not score a single point in the second half of the game. The 76ers went on to lose 99-90. With the loss, Philadelphia was eliminated from the postseason.
Ben Simmons has not played game for Nets
Simmons' gloating is a bold choice considering his team got swept in the first round of the playoffs. He did not play in the series due to a back injury then had surgery to repair the issue this month.
Simmons' tenure in Philadelphia did not end well. He initially demanded a trade following criticism after the team's premature playoff exit during the 2020-21 NBA season then stayed away from the 76ers, racking up fines. He eventually reported to the team, but did not play due to a back issue and his mental health.
At the NBA's trade deadline, Simmons was dealt to the Nets for Harden. Simmons did not play a single game for the Nets due to his back injury.
