When does Amazon Prime Day end?

Amazon’s mega sale is back this year and happening right now, with millions of deals across the board, including homewares. The event kicked off at one minute past midnight and will finish at 23:59 on July 13, giving you plenty of time to get all those bits and pieces you’ve been keeping on your wishlist.

Do you need a Prime account to get the deals?

Yes, the sale is for Prime members exclusively, so if you haven’t signed up yet - now’s the time.

As well as huge markdowns and Next Day Delivery (and even Same Day Delivery in some areas), membership kicks open the door to a world of entertainment, content and services. We’re talking the latest movies and shows on Prime Video, a gargantuan catalogue of music and podcasts on Amazon Music, plus gaming, reading and image storage. Prime members can also take advantage of free Deliveroo Plus and discounts on National Express Tickets, Elemis skincare, Philips electronics and so much more.

What type of Prime Day deals are available?

Deals and special promotions will be running throughout the two-day event, but there are two types of deals you should be aware of before the starting gun shoots. First, Lightning Deals. They’re here for a good time, not a long time with limited stock selling on tight time limits. If you see something you’ve wanted for a while at a bargain price, move fast because they won’t stick around for long.

Then there’s Deals of the Day, Ronseal-type offers that should be good for a 24 hour period. We say ‘should’ as the offer is only valid while the items are still in stock, so although you’ve got a bit more time to mull your purchase over, if it’s popular, it’ll go - quickly.

What deals were there last year?

Standout deals in home and garden included half price SodaStreams, 33 per cent off Instant Pot’s slow cookers, and hundreds knocked off the price of washing machines and tumble dryers. The sale has everything from BBQs and garden lighting to throw pillows, rugs, kitchenware and bed frames to nab at special, limited prices. With millions of items bound to be marked down in Prime Day 2022, we’re sure of a repeat performance this year too.

What deals can we expect this year?
