Manor Solomon has a simple message when contemplating who is best placed to feature for Leeds United this season to aid their push for promotion to the Premier League. Whether it's who plays or who goes up from the Championship, Solomon's thoughts are clear and simple, the best will win out.

The 25-year-old loan player from Tottenham Hotspur has had a disrupted start to life at Leeds after injury with only four appearances to his name so far. Two of those have come in the last few days with appearances off the bench in the victories over Sheffield United and Watford.

Brought on last night after 14 minutes to replace the injured Largie Ramazani, Solomon was then subbed off himself in the closing stages of the game, with manager Daniel Farke protecting his winger who is coming back from a month on the sidelines.

Ramazani's potential injury absence could open the door for a start this weekend for Solomon when Leeds travel to Bristol City, with Dan James also pushing to feature on the opposite flank to Wilfried Gnonto. It' a good situation for Farke to be in to have four wingers pushing each other to play.

It is a situation Solomon has been asked about while discussing his return to the team from injury. “Unfortunately I picked up an injury one month ago more or less, and it stopped my momentum," explained Solomon after the Watford win.

“But now I’m back, I’m feeling good, it’s behind me. I just want to get more minutes to show a better version of myself, I’m still not at my best or at the top of my game, but I will get there.

"There is big competition here and really good players. We are more or less four wingers of very top quality and each wants to start and get the minutes. That's great competition, the best will play."

Spurs winger Solomon will hope he can prove he is the best to play regularly for Farke, but who is the best team in the division?

"This league is very intense and really tough," adds Solomon. "Our aim is to go up and we will give everything we have to accomplish our goal.

"We are definitely one of the top sides in the league. We have a great team, great manager, we have the players and everything we need to go up."
