A film adaption of the 1975 book with the same name, thoroughbred race horse Secretariat cemented his name across history books in 1973 when he became the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years.

Though former soccer star David Beckham had nothing to do with this film, the title is inspired by the Englishman's incredible ability to score free kicks by curling the ball past a wall of defenders. It follows a teenage soccer player (Parminder Nagra) who, against the wishes of her parents, joins a women's soccer team in London, helping them soar to the top of the league.

Would this even be a proper roundup without The Mighty Ducks? The first move in the cult classic trilogy, a pompous Minnesota lawyer (Emilio Estevez) is sentenced to 500 hours of community service coaching a youth hockey team after being pulled over for drunk driving.
