Big injury boost for Nottingham Forest as Nuno names team to face Ipswich Town
Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has named his Nottingham Forest team to face Ipswich Town in this afternoon’s Premier League clash.
The Reds go into the game looking to get back to winning ways after consecutive defeats. Nuno is particularly keen for his team to rediscover their defensive solidity after shipping three goals apiece to Newcastle United and Arsenal either side of the international break.
Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson both missed last weekend’s 3-0 loss at the Emirates Stadium due to injury. Anthony Elanga was forced off at half-time of the game after picking up a knock.
Gibbs-White and Anderson have both had the green light to face the Tractor Boys. The duo come straight back into the side as Nuno makes five changes to the starting XI.
Jota Silva is handed his first Premier League start, while Chris Wood returns to the line-up after being among the substitutes last time out. Neco Williams also comes into the side as Taiwo Awoniyi, Nicolas Dominguez, James Ward-Prowse, Alex Moreno and Elanga drop to the bench.
Williams could start at either left or right-back, with Ola Aina on the opposite side. Nikola Milenkovic and Murillo keep their places at centre-back ahead of goalkeeper Matz Sels.
Anderson will line up alongside Ryan Yates in midfield. Jota will join Gibbs-White and Callum Hudson-Odoi in supporting front man Wood.
Forest: Sels; Williams, Milenkovic, Murillo, Aina; Yates, Anderson; Jota, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood. Subs: Miguel, Morato, Awoniyi, Toffolo, Dominguez, Ward-Prowse, Moreno, Elanga, Sosa.
