LAST YEAR’S FINALISTS UCC got their Sigerson Cup campaign off to a winning start with today’s first round win at the Mardyke over GMIT.

UCC made all the running in the first-half and were 2-5 to 1-2 to the good at the break.

They were in front 2-11 to 1-4 with eight minutes remaining and despite a late GMIT rally, Billy Morgan’s side held on for victory.
