Birmingham have not received any approach for manager Chris Hughton, Press Association Sport understands.
Reports emerged on Tuesday that West Brom were put off by £2million-plus compensation demands from Blues as they look to replace Roy Hodgson at The Hawthorns.
Blues have not been contacted by any club looking to speak to Hughton and would definitely not welcome an approach as they firmly look to keep hold of his services.
It is not known whether Hughton would even favour the move but the bookmakers' favourite has now been overtaken in the race to take charge of the Baggies by Ralf Rangnick.
The former Schalke boss has been out of work since September after stepping down from his position at the German club due to exhaustion.
