BJ Penn Needs New UFC 199 Opponent After Dennis Siver Withdraws
Just hours after the world found out Anderson Silva was off of this weekend's UFC 198 fight card due to a probably gall bladder surgery, Dennis Siver fell off of the UFC 199 fight card, leaving BJ Penn without an opponent for his return from retirement.
Siver's withdrawal came to light in an initial report by BJPenn.com. Penn told the site that he received a call from the UFC and was told that Siver has been forced to pull out of their bout after suffering an injury.

The UFC is reportedly working to get a new UFC 199 opponent for Penn.
After going winless in his last four fights, and following a year-and-a-half on the sidelines, Penn felt the itch to get back in the Octagon. He picked up the phone and called Greg Jackson. He's been training with the MMA guru in Albuquerque, N.M., ever since.
Penn was initially planning to return at UFC 196 in March and then at UFC 197 in April, but finally settled on UFC 199 in June, when the he was offered the fight with Siver.
He'll now wait to see if the UFC can find a new opponent in time to keep the June 4 date in Los Angeles intact.
A middleweight championship rematch between titleholder Luke Rockhold and challenger Chris Weidman headlines the fight card.
