A new teaser trailer has just been released (26th April) and it has given fans a glimpse into the new batch of episodes.

But what can we expect from the upcoming sixth season? Here’s everything we know so far…

Who will star in Black Mirror season 6?

So far we know that the following actors will be appearing, with a few faces popping up in the trailer.

There’s Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul, Ben Barnes (who many will have seen recently in Netflix’s Shadow and Bone), Salma Hayek, Josh Hartnett, Rory Culkin, Kate Mara and Himesh Patel, to name a few.

We’re also really excited to see Schitt’s Creek’s Annie Murphy and Superbad’s Michael Cera take on what we imagine will be dramatic, dystopian roles.

Danny Ramirez, John Hannah, Paapa Essiedu, Zazie Beetz, Rob Delaney, Myha’la Herrold, Anjana Vasan, Auden Thornton, Clara Rugaard, Daniel Portman, Monica Dolan and Samuel Blenkin will also star.

How many episodes will season 6 have?

Some Black Mirror seasons have had just three episodes, while others have had six.

However season six is confirmed to have five brand new episodes. The five episodes are titled as follows: 'Joan is Awful, 'Loch Henry', 'Beyond the Sea', 'Mazey Day' and 'Demon 79'.

What is Black Mirror?

If you haven’t yet discovered the show, which originally aired on Channel 4 in the UK before moving to Netflix from the third season onwards, expect the unexpected. It’s essentially a dark, satirical comedy that explores technology’s impact on us and it will have you wanting to throw your phone or laptop away for good, after you watch it.

When speaking to Netflix’s TUDUM, show creator Charlie Brooker revealed, “partly as a challenge, and partly to keep things fresh for both me and the viewer, I began this season by deliberately upending some of my own core assumptions about what to expect.”

He also teases “new elements,” including some that he had, “previously sworn blind the show would never do.” Expect, “crazy swings and more variety than ever before.”

So, you’ve got five seasons to catch up with before the new season starts streaming in June.
