The Blue Jays received good news Tuesday morning when they learned the extent of starting pitcher J.A. Happ's elbow injury was not serious, according to MLB Network.
Happ was forced to leave Sunday's start against the Orioles due to soreness in his elbow. He underwent an MRI Monday.
There should be an update soon from the team regarding Happ's timetable for a return.
Happ (0-3) has struggled so far this season, but he went 20-4 with a sterling 3.18 ERA last season. Though 34 yearsold, Happ has proven he's a late bloomer.
Toronto (2-10) may try to flip Happ to a contender if itcontinues to struggle this season.
