Ghanaian defender Kennedy Boateng has showered praise on his teammates after his side LASK Linz gained promotion to the Austrian Bundesliga last weekend.
The Black-Whites confirmed their qualification from League One with a 3-0 home victory over FC Liefering, opening a 19-point gap between them and second-placed Austria Lustenau with five matches to spare.
"I must say our qualification was a very amazing feeling for me and my teammates. To qualify for the Bundesliga is a big achievement since every player in Austria want to play in the Bundesliga’’ Boateng told Herosportsgh.com.
"But I think our qualification is as a result of the teamwork, hard work and dedication from every member of the club. That’s why we were able to qualify with several matches to end the season. I'm hoping for bigger achievements in the future with the club especially my first season in the top-flight,’’ he added.
LASK will lock horns with Rapid Wien in the semi-finals of the Austrian Cup and Boateng believed they will eliminate the top-flight side to win a double.
"We'll make sure we don't end up at the losing side. Cup games come with surprises and I believe we will shock them to achieve another giant feat," he said.
Boateng joined LASK from Ghana Premier League side Wafa in 2016.
