Tyson Fury's US promoter Bob Arum claims a fight against Francis Ngannou is an 'easy' fight to make. Despite insisting victory over Dillian Whyte is his final fight in boxing, Arum rubbished claims of quitting the sport and believes a showdown with Ngannou would be 'a massive fight'.

Fury dispatched Whyte inside six rounds to make a second defence of his WBC and Ring Magazine heavyweight titles.

The 33-year-old was asked about fighting the winner of Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk but refused to be drawn into it, saying he promised his wife Paris Fury that his fight against Whyte would be his final in the ring.

He did, however, refuse to rule out exhibitions due to being an 'entertainer'. One fight which would class as entertaining is a showdown with Ngannou.

The pair traded messages on social media earlier this year and it seems like a fight is in the works judging by Fury's comments after meeting Ngannou in the ring on Saturday night.

"I'm the boxing heavyweight champion. This is the UFC heavyweight champion. Is he in good shape? Look at the muscles on him," Fury told the ESPN+. "This is going to be one very special fight, like one never before seen in the sport. We're not talking two light guys. It's going to be an explosive fight when it happens." Ngannou responded, "I'm going to find out who is the baddest (man) on the planet. … It's going to be a hybrid fight. MMA gloves, in the ring. Something different."

"I don't know what (Ngannou's) contract situation with the UFC is," Arum said when asked about it after Fury's win. "Obviously, it'd be a massive fight, and it should be easy to make." "We'll have plenty of time to talk everything out," said Arum.

Should Fury and Ngannou meet, it would see boxing's heavyweight king against MMA's heavyweight titlist. It would be a huge showdown which would generate interest all around the world, including the UK, US and Africa. However, it would need to be more than an exhibition for it to generate huge numbers and if it isn't a boxing match, the fight will need to be a mix of boxing and MMA rules like Ngannou has hinted at.
