Humphries looked well out of medal contention after the first run in Switzerland as she placed tenth with a time of 1:08.81minutes with home pilot Fabienne Meyer in the lead with 1:08.41.
However, the Canadian Olympic champion from Vancouver 2010 wasn't to be denied and produced a run of 1:08.15 second time out to move up nine places to first and the victory.
Swiss pilot Meyer did the opposite to Humphries as she produced the eighth quickest time of the second run to fall to third with German Cathleen Martini relatively consistent to grab second.
She was the third quickest of run one and fourth fastest of run two to place 0.18 seconds behind Humphries with Meyer 0.01 further back before American Jamie Greubel in fourth.
Great Britain's Paula Walker placed eighth overall 0.42 behind Humphries to match her best finish of the year having achieved the same placing twice during the double race weekend in Park City.
