Bojan Miovski Aberdeen transfer latest as striker eyed by Champions League side and Premier League hopefuls

Bojan Miovski is wanted by Champions League qualifiers Bologna as well as Southampton this summer.

The Aberdeen striker is hot property after two prolific seasons in the north-east with the most recent campaign seeing him hit 26 goals and earning a nomination for the SFWA Player of the Year awards. He has been linked with a number of clubs, with Celtic reported to have scouted him previously and Feyenoord also mentioned.

But it's Bologna and Southampton who are showing serious interest for the summer, reports the Daily Mail. Should he move to the Serie A side, Miovski would become a teammate of former Dons midfielder Lewis Ferguson who won an award for the best midfielder in the league and would have earned an even bigger move but for a heartbreaking injury.

Bologna are shock qualifiers for next season's Champions League as they sit third after a remarkable campaign, currently above Juventus with one game to play. Southampton hope to be in the Premier League and will know their fate after playing Leeds in the play-off final on Sunday.

As well as Ferguson, Bologna had success in the Scottish market when they signed Aaron Hickey from Hearts for £1.5million before selling him to Brentford for multiple times that two years later. Il Rossoblu are set to lose Joshua Zirkzee and need a replacement while Saints are in the same boat with Scotland star Che Adams. Celtic and Rangers are both also likely to be looking in that area.
