TV star Paddy McGuinness has been spotted in his hometown attending a 50th birthday bash at Bolton Rugby Club.
Paddy, who is currently filming for a new Channel 4 show Don’t Look Down, celebrated a friend's 50th birthday on Saturday night.
He spent the night catching up with friends, some who he had not seen for 20 years.
Club captain Les Walker said that, while he had missed Paddy at the club, it was a good event.
He said: “There was a birthday party and so he went to the club for that.
“He was there late in the evening after 7.30pm and when he came he took photos with people including our bar staff.
“Paddy has not been to the club before so he might be our first celebrity, and it’s great.
“Although he did not come for the club but for the party, it was a nice surprise for a lot of people.”
Many guests were said to have recognised the former Take Me Out host and were thrilled to have their pictures taken with Paddy.
Paddy, who recently celebrated his own 50th birthday, posted a photo on Instagram and wrote: "Back on the family patch last night. Called into Bolton Rugby Club for a birthday party with a few pals.
"Caught up with friends, some of which I’d not seen for over twenty years! Absolutely loved it, especially the bar prices! Happy 50th Michelle, thanks for the invite."
Paddy is the host of the new Don’t Look Down show set to air soon in the UK and which features other celebrities like footballer Anton Ferdinand, presenter and Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt, sports presenter and Love Island finalist Chris Hughes and French football icon David Ginola.
The team have all been touched by cancer and are hoping to raise a substantial sum for Stand Up To Cancer.
