Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland confirms he will be fit for Rangers clash

ERLING HAALAND has confirmed he will be fit to play against Rangers in next month's Europa League showdown.

Rangers face the Bundesliga giants next month in a crucial play-off round game with the first leg in Germany.

Haaland was forced off with muscle complaints in the second half of their weekend's 3-2 win over Hoffenheim.

And there was speculation that the Norwegian goal machine would be out for weeks and would be a doubt for the tie against Rangers.

But Haaland has confirmed he will be back for the games and is aiming to be fit for Dortmund's next match against Bayer Leverkusen on February 6.

He said: "It looks good, I'm training well again. I'll be back soon.

"It's the worst feeling not being able to play. My biggest wish for the rest of my career is not to be injured. That's the most important. If I'm not injured, I can play more.

"On the other hand, being able to deal with injuries is good for your head. And it only makes me hungrier to succeed.

"If I could change something right now, I'd like to stay injury-free. That's my goal for 2022 and for my entire career. That's the most important thing for me."
