Borussia Dortmund target Bellingham transfer repeat - and Birmingham City could profit again
Borussia Dortmund are reportedly eyeing a move for Jobe Bellingham – four years after they captured his world-beating brother Jude from Birmingham City.
While Real Madrid ace Jude is now a Champions League winner and England regular, Jobe is making a name for himself in the Championship with Sunderland. The 19-year-old scored seven times in 45 Championship games last season and has netted twice for the top-of-the-table Black Cats this term.
Bellingham is part of a youthful Sunderland side excelling under French manager Régis Le Bris. Sunderland are currently eight games unbeaten in the Championship and Bellingham has been a mainstay in their midfield.

According to The Sun, Dortmund want to lure the younger Bellingham to Germany. They were due to watch him play at Preston last week before he was sent off against Queens Park Rangers and subsequently banned for three games including that one.

Bellingham’s future will be of interest to Blues’ hierarchy with the club reportedly holding a sell-on clause. Blues profited big style from Jude’s move to Real Madrid and reports suggest they stand to benefit from any transfer Jobe makes. Some reports claim Blues hold a 15 percent sell-on clause from the sale of Jobe to Sunderland in the summer of 2023.
However, The Mirror says Sunderland have no intention of cashing in on £20m-rated Bellingham in January. The Black Cats are apparently keen to keep hold of their starlets, including Bellingham and highly-rated 17-year-old Chris Rigg, until the summer at least.
