Borussia Dortmund's Thomas Tuchel has 'no interest' in Arsenal switch as Gunners deny move claims

Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel has distanced himself from reports he has been approached to succeed Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.

It is understood that claims in Germany of contact between the Emirates hierarchy and Tuchel are inaccurate with Wenger yet to reach a concrete decision on his future.

Tuchel has long been rumoured to be a potential Wenger successor but has consistently distanced himself from a possible exit from Dortmund, and insisted that he held no interest in leaving the German giants.

"I can't give you any information about the topic because it doesn't involve me," Tuchel said. "I'm happy with my job in Dortmund and have a contract, so it is of no interest to me."

Wenger told Standard Sport after Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at West Brom that he had made a decision on his future, adding that he had not communicated that decision with anyone else.

However that is understood to have been an emotional reaction to the loss and whilst the manager’s preference remains to stay at the Emirates he has not made a firm decision.
