Boulahrouz targets move to Italy

Stuttgart defender Khalid Boulahrouz has revealed that Italy is his preferred destination as he seeks a move.

The 30-year-old defender has less than two months left on his deal at the Bundesliga club, and he has already decided to leave the club when his contract expires.

The Dutch international has now revealed that he would like a move to the Serie A and even hinted at a deal with Milan.

“An Italian club would be nice,” Khalid Boulahrouz told Voetbal International.

“I know that Milan officials have watched me from the stands several times this season.

“But, I cannot estimate how concrete there interest is at the moment.”

He added: “Soon I will set everything straight with my agent. It would be good if everything is clear before the European Championship.”

Boulahrouz was recently linked with a move to Ajax, but the player has revealed he is not interested in returning to Dutch Eredivisie at the moment.

“I have no desire to return to Nethrelands. My preference is to move to Italy or other foreign top championship.”
