Boxing - Bob Ajisafe v Dean Francis to be televised

Bob Ajisafe (11-2) and Dean Francis (34-4-1) are set to clash for the vacant British light heavyweight title at Rivermead, Reading, on March 15th.

Training in Sheffield with the Ingles, Leeds based Ajisafe will be looking to add another Lonsdale belt to the famous St Thomas Gym in Wincobank.   Aged 40, Basingstoke veteran Francis boasts 34 wins with 26 knockouts in a 39 fight career to date, which has seen him claim the British and European super middleweight titles, along with the English cruiserweight and Commonwealth light heavyweight belts.   Francis has experience on his side and is determined to prove he still has what it takes, but ‘Lionheart’ Ajisafe will have other ideas.   Ajisafe, 28, became the English champion in December 2012 with a convincing points win against the formerly undefeated Travis Dickinson.

Also scheduled to fight on the show is cruiserweight Leon Senior, who faces former Commonwealth middleweight title challenger Tony Hill over 10 rounds.

Former British light welterweight champion and European title challenger Lenny Daws will also be in action, along with former Irish lightweight champion Peter McDonagh, Reading's Tamuka Mucha, Ricky O'Brien, Thomas Jarvis and Slough's John Brennan.
