Rose, 28, made a successful step up in class by stopping Canada-based Haitian Joachim Alcine in April, and is looking to establish himself on the world stage. The fight against Ribchev, who is coming off successive losses, will take place on the stacked undercard of Gavin Rees v Anthony Crolla.
Promoter Eddie Hearn almost managed to line Rose up for a fight with Australian world title challenger Anthony Mundine (44-5). Hearn said:
"We had a chance to fight Mundine for the 'interim' WBA title and it was a close one, while HBO were interested in putting him on the Golovkin-Macklin undercard.
"So already things are moving in the right direction and the key is to get him out as often as possible."
Rose is looking forward to big things with Matchroom. He stated:
"It shows how far I've come and I'm looking forward to the 29th of June against an opponent who has never been stopped.
"He's a seasoned pro but on paper it's not one of the toughest fights I've had this year because I've had some really tough fights.
"But I'll not be looking past him and I hope to put in a good, crisp performance."
