Boxing - Butler faces new opponent after Solano fails medical

Ellesmere Port's baby faced assassin Paul Butler (11-0) will now defend his Commonwealth super-flyweight strap against Wales-based Iraqi Najah Ali (5-3) tomorrow night at the Liverpool Olympia after original opponent, Nicaraguan Arnoldo Solano, failed a British Boxing Board of Control medical and was withdrawn from the card.

Butler appears as chief support to British welterweight champion Frankie Gavin's clash with Commonwealth belt holder Denton Vassell.

Also on the card, scouse super featherweight Stephen Smith (15-1) comes back against Belfast's Eddie Nesbitt (3-2), unbeaten prospect Liam Smith (14-0-1) faces Brummie journeyman Max Maxwell (16-19-3), middleweight Joe Selkirk (10-0) boxes Telford's Kieron Gray (5-17-1), up-and-coming prospect Rhys Roberts (16-2) faces Merthyr Tydfil's Dai Davies (9-22) and unbeaten Manchester featherweight 'Genius' Joe Murray (13-0) boxes Trowbridge's Dan Naylor (4-16-2).
