Liverpudlian Price barely had the chance to show off some new temple-protecting defensive moves before a couple of straight rights put Ruzsinszky over. Promoters Sauerland intend to keep their British signing busy, but should looking at a more durable opponent for his second fight under the auspices.

“Obviously, I wouldn’t complain if the outcome is the same but I am hoping for a bit more resistance this time. I’d like to get a bit more ring time so I can show everyone what I have been working on and what I am capable of.”

Kalle Sauerland: ‘It was important for us to get Pricey back in the ring as soon as possible. He did a good job against a limited opponent in Stuttgart but now we must start stepping it up. Berlin is fantastic city and is very accessible from the UK, so we will be expecting a lot of fans to make the trip over to support the big man. We will announce his opponent in the coming weeks.”

IBF cruiserweight champion Yoan Pablo Hernandez (28-1) tops the bill, making his first voluntary defence against unbeaten Pole Pawel Kolodziej (33-0).
