McShane, who is one of four debutants on the show, said: “I appreciate I am bit later than most to turn professional, but I keep myself in good shape and have good experience in the amateurs. I had the offer when I was younger to turn professional, but it didn't feel like it was the right time due to work commitments.”

McShane started training to lose weight aged 13. He makes his bow against fellow debutant Ryan Love at light welterweight, but refused to be drawn on the outcome:

“I don't make predictions on fights. You never know on the night. All I can say is if someone is going to try beat me they better be ready as I am coming for a fight.

Headlined by Sanquhar’s Rhys Pagan, the ‘Lock Stock and Twelve Smoking Fights’ show will also see JP McGuinness and Lee Gallagher make their pro debuts. Returning to action are former British title challenger, Jerviston's Iain Butcher, and Wishaw’s Kenny Davidson, who takes on Stirling’s Scott Edgar

George Thomson, David Drummond, Michael McGurk and Matthew McAllister also feature on the card.

Tickets are priced at £30 and £40 and available from the fighters directly or by calling 01698 338 888 where Credit/ Debit Cards are accepted. Further details on @ProspectBoxing on Twitter, and
