Heffron, who scored a second round knockout over Julio Acosta in Spain last Friday, will be aiming to boost his unbeaten ledger. His fearsome punching reputation comes from six stoppages from his seven fights, and promoter Dave Coldwell is hoping that the well travelled 21-year old will produce more explosiveness when he performs next month.
“One thing that’s guaranteed about Mark Heffron is that he’ll always come to fight no matter what the occasion,” said Coldwell.
“This show just keeps on going from strength to strength and to have two exciting, crowd-pleasing fighters like John Murray and Mark Heffron on the bill shows that Coldwell Boxing will always try their best to get quality action on our shows whether the fighters are promoted by us or by others.
"This is shaping up to be a great little night in Manchester and I’m certain that everyone who comes along will have a great time.”
The show also features Kirkby light welter Robbie Davies Jnr, Macclesfield super bantam Liam Hanrahan and Wythenshawe light middleweight 'Jimmy' Kilrain Kelly.
