The English heavyweight, who trains in Brendan Ingle's Sheffield gym, suffered a perforated eardrum in his final sparring session.

Towers - who served six and a half years in prison due to his involvement in a kidnap, but has now reformed - was set to box on Hatton Promotions' first card in the Asia-Pacific region against good friend Browne.

Browne’s manager Matt Clark told the Aus-Boxing website that they are looking for a replacement.

Towers, who is undefeated in 14 fights, recently sparred with Wladimir Klitschko.
