Trainer/manager Alan Smith has joined forces with Hellraiser Promotions to stage the title fights, and hopes a four-figure crowd will watch the show. He said: “We are trying going to bring some razzmatazz and make sure everyone has a good night.
“The likes of Dan Woodgate and Lewis Pettitt have been on TV before and we believe they are TV fighters.”
Woodgate’s appearance on Eurosport back in November 2011 brought a stunning knock-out of Paul Davis that has been seen by thousands of on Youtube. The Minster fighter sees this as the biggest test of his career so far.
Woodgate admitted: “We both have to win. Whoever loses has nowhere to go.”
Hove light middleweight Lloyd Ellett (10-0) and debutant Brett Beadon, both recent additions to Alan Smith’s stable, are also in action, along with Peckham welter Johnny 'The Pexican' Garton (9-0), Carshalton's 'Pretty' Ricky Boylan (9-0) and and Hoo lightweight Adam Dingsdale (8-1).
