Bryan Mbeumo has credited Thomas Frank for his impressive start to life in the Premier League.

The Brentford midfielder admits he has noticed the step up in quality since promotion – but has started every game in the top flight so far.

He says Frank’s man-management has been key to that, as well as Brentford’s solid performances so far.

Ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Wolves, Mbeumo said: “It’s always tough because it’s a big step up. It’s a little bit more intense, the runs are not the same. We have to work much more.

“It’s quicker and faster and you have to decide a little bit quicker.

“He (Frank) is very positive. He always wants the best for you.

“Of course sometimes he speaks tactically, at other times he says just enjoy and try to do your best every time.

“He gives me a lot of confidence. He talks to me often and tells me every time that I to keep believing in me and keep smiling and move forward every time.”
