Dalsgaard out to make up for Euro axe

Henrik Dalsgaard proved his fitness after returning from injury by playing all 90 minutes of the second leg against Bournemouth last weekend, but the full-back was still left out of Denmark’s squad for Euro 2020.

He says promotion would make up for the disappointment. “Hopefully, [the manager’s] watching the game on Saturday and I will go out and prove him wrong,” he said.

All the talk has been about Ivan Toney’s record-breaking season but, in Andre Ayew, Swansea also have a proven goalscorer at this level.

The forward scored against Brentford in a League meeting between the two earlier this season and grabbed a crucial goal at Barnsley in the semi-final.
