Bristol Rovers player ratings vs Crawley: Defenders stand out as forwards rue missed chances
Josh Griffiths - 7
Didn't have much to do until being forced into two good saves late on as Crawley controlled the closing stages of the match.

Clinton Mola - 6
Played out of position at right-back and got caught out a few times but largely stood up to the challenge well considering the circumstances.
Connor Taylor - 8
Personal man of the match once again. Produced some vital blocks in dangerous areas and seemed unbeatable with some of his defensive moments. We've used the word colossal with the centre-back quite a lot recently but that's probably the best adjective for the form he's entered recently.
James Wilson - 8
Also excellent. The centre-back's partnership currently appears to be the strongest link between players on the pitch at the moment. Did everything asked of him defensively.
Bryant Bilongo - 7
Excellent on his return to the starting line up and pushing an eight in all honesty. Put in two cracking deliveries into Luke McCormick in the first half and was largely excellent defensively with one particular block resulting in a little celebration from himself.
Kamil Conteh (off for Grant Ward 57') - 7
The midfielder was having a tidy game in midfield before coming off pretty early into the second half. Shielded the ball well and passed it around nicely. Definitely unlucky to come off when he did.
Jamie Lindsay - 7
Just like his midfield partner, tidy in the middle, cleaning up when needed and getting the ball forward when he could. Evidently one of the better communicators on the pitch too. The Scotsman is proving to be a great signing.
Shaq Forde - 6
Produced some lovely skill to get himself out of some tight spots but, having admittedly not seen a replay at the time of writing, really looked like he should have buried the ball with his opportunity late in the first half that was saved from close-range.
Luke McCormick - 7
One of Rovers' most energetic players, constantly trying to close down his nearest man. Had two headed opportunities in the first half with the second forcing an excellent save. Definitely taking his chance in the side.
Isaac Hutchinson (off for Scott Sinclair 57') - 6
The wide attacking midfielder could have scored a cracking goal inside the opening three minutes but was denied by the underside of the crossbar. Tried his best to either create or force the breakthrough but it just didn't fall for him. Also arguably unlucky to come off after less than an hour.
Chris Martin (off for Promise Omochere 65') - 5
Nowhere near as effective as he or Rovers would have liked. We all know that the ball has to be fed into the striker but he didn't have a sniff. His best moment was actually his final kick of the ball when threading through Scott Sinclair.
Substitutions:
Grant Ward (on 57') - 6
Didn't make the desired difference on the pitch with the time he had.
Scott Sinclair (on 57') - 6
Had a great opportunity to score soon after coming on. Also got a yellow card for dissent after rightly questioning one of many poor decisions from the officials.
Promise Omochere (on 65') - 5
Didn't have a sniff.
Luke Thomas (on 76') - N/A
Came on late.
