The 2023 Brit Awards at London’s O2 are just around the corner.

A number of this year’s biggest artists including Lizzo, Wet Leg, Harry Styles, David Guetta, Sam Smith, Kim Petras, Lewis Capaldi, Cat Burns, Becky Hill and Ella Henderson, are set to attend the annual music show on Saturday, February 11.

Stormzy, who released the new album This Is What I Mean in November, is nominated for album of the year, artist of the year and hip hop/grime/rap act.

Styles and Wet Leg lead the nominations with four each.

Styles capped off a successful 12 months by earning nods for album of the year for Harry’s House, song of the year for As It Was, artist of the year and best pop/R&B act. He also won the album of the year award at the Grammys on February 5.

Meanwhile, Wet Leg have been nominated for album of the year, group of the year, best new artist and best alternative rock act.

A year after the Brits abandoned gendered categories, the awards show has been criticised for the nominations for artist of the year prize being entirely male.

Women-led acts comprise 33 per cent of the overall nominations.

A Brits spokesperson said the lack of women in the category was “disappointing”.
