Brook Hill boys hold off Shelton School late for 59-53 triumph

Jan. 27—DALLAS — Brook Hill repelled a strong upset bid by Dallas Shelton School in winning 59-53 in Dallas Friday evening.

Brook Hill led 34-28 at halftime, but the Chargers closed the gap in the third quarter when the Guard's lead was reduced to a single point, 47-46.

Brook Hill (19-8, 6-2) dug deep and out played the Chargers in the final segment to earn the win.

Beck Langemeier paced the Brook Hill effort with 23 points, followed by Lex Rich and Avery Ko who pitched in 18 and 12 points each, respectively.

The Guard knocked in nine treys, as did Shelton School (12-13, 2-5), with Langemeier sinking five shots from afar and Avery Ko draining four triples.

At 7:30 p.m. Tuesday the Guard will travel to Carrollton to take on league-leading Prince of Peace (18-9, 7-0).
