Brook Hill soccer teams win big on Senior Night

Feb. 9—BULLARD — Soccer teams from The Brook Hill School celebrated Senior Night by sweeping Carrollton-Prince of Peace in district play Thursday evening at Herrington Stadium.

Christian Pous tallied 11 saves as the Guard topped Prince of Peace, 4-1, to move to 15-0-1, 11-0.

Alejandro Martinez scored two goals for the winners while Marlon Rataj and Blake Whitten knocked in a goal each.

Earning an assist each were Javier Gavito and Pancho Ramirez.

Guard seniors that were recognized included Rataj, Martinez, Matthew Yim, Mio Engqvist, Luke Visser and John Lee.

Brook Hill is slated to host Coram Deo at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

The Brook Hill girls picked up a 5-1 victory over Prince of Peace to move to 15-3-1, 8-0.

Caroline Smith, Ari Rivas, Riley-Jane McCord, Scarlett Kerr and Jemina James scored goals for the home team.

Smith was credited with two assists.

Brook Hill saluted seniors Drea Tonroy, Caley Fitzgerald, Taylor McClure, Ranata Cabrera and Sofia Lara.

The Lady Guard's next match will come on Thursday when Brook Hill is scheduled to visit Lakehill Prep.
